Jennifer Aniston, Justin Theroux Headed to Mexico After Receiving Counseling

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux's relationship may be in question, but the two are planning to spend New Year's Eve in Mexico after reportedly attending several counseling sessions. And friend Jason Bateman has encouraged the couple to get married as soon as possible.

"Jen and Justin love each other. They are fully committed. They had hoped to be married by now, but work commitments this year meant their plans went astray. They have had some counseling. They both regret not spending more time together this year and they're determined that next year will be different," a friend told Daily Mail.

Fans have wondered whether the couple will actually make it down the aisle, given their natural tendencies and preferences to live on opposite sides of the country. Aniston is a famous California girl, while Theroux prefers to live and work in New York. However, they did move into their new Bel Air residence; Aniston said she will move to New York temporarily when Theroux begins filming "The Leftovers."

The news comes as a relief to family and friends eager to see the couple exchange vows. One of those constantly rooting for a wedding is mutual friend, and fellow actor, Jason Bateman.

"Jason has been one of the biggest cheerleaders for Justin to pull the trigger and marry Jen. Jen has had her own trepidations, too, after her marriage to Brad Pitt failed. But Jason loves both of them to pieces and as a longtime married father of two himself, he couldn't be a better example of how to achieve personal happiness in Hollywood," a friend of Bateman's told Radar Online.

The two are rumored to be getting married in 2014 in a small, intimate ceremony that will most definitely be attended by Bateman and his wife, Amanda Anka.

"The two couples are incredibly close. Jason doesn't advertise his friendship with Jen but he and his wife spend time with her and Justin at least every two weeks, if not more," the friend revealed. "Justin and Amanda are sure to do the honors [giving toasts] and will be cheering them on the entire way!"
