Jennifer Aniston With Courteney Cox on 45th Birthday, Not Fiancée Justin Theroux
Jennifer Aniston reportedly spent her 45th birthday with her best friend Courtney Cox while her fiancée reportedly partied with friends.
The former "Friends" actress is believed to have dined at West Hollywood hotspot Soho House on Tuesday with Cox, her hairstylist Chris McMillan and Jennifer Meyer, who is the wife of Tobey Maguire, according to E! News.
Theroux, who has been living in New York in recent months, was not with Aniston on her special day as he instead opted to attend a party at the Deth Killers store opening.
"Justin was very sweet," a rep for the opening told People magazine. "Smiled for pictures, and was friendly to staff in the shop. Took selfies with partygoers alongside Orlando [Bloom]."
Earlier that day Theroux, 42, was photographed filming scenes for his new show "The Leftovers" in Manhattan. The actor and Aniston have been living apart on different coasts due to their hectic work schedules.
"Justin was upbeat and laughing in the shop with [actor] Orlando, as he tried on different hats, which he ended up wearing out at the end of the night," the rep said.
Aniston, who got engaged to Theroux in 2012, received a large bunch of birthday balloons at her and the actor's Bel Air estate early Tuesday, but it remains unclear as to whether they were sent by him.
Reports claim the couple has hit a stumbling block in their relationship and subsequently they are yet to set a wedding date.
"Jen and Justin have hit a rough patch," a source previously told Life & Style magazine. "Right now, there are no wedding plans, no baby plans and no more buying houses together."
Theroux, who starred alongside Aniston in the 2012 film "Wanderlust," began dating the actress in 2011.
"Jen always used to be the one who was working nonstop on films while Justin was writing and producing but now that he's both filming and producing, their dynamic has changed," one insider told In Touch magazine.
"It's not Justin's fault — he wants to work more again. But it's caused them to drive apart and spend much less time together," the source explained. "They haven't been spending much time together at all. All this distance could tear them apart for good."
