Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin News: Jennifer Breaks Up with Chris After 4 Months of Dating?

A few weeks after Chris Martin got to meet Jennifer Lawrence's mother, it has been reported that the couple has now broken up.

A source told People Magazine that "Jen is the one who broke it off with Chris."

The breakup comes days after Martin was reportedly spotted on a family dinner date at a sushi restaurant in L.A. with his ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, who was seen affectionately stroking his face. That same night, Lawrence was photographed somewhere else in L.A. having a quiet dinner with a friend, according to Daily Mail.

"Jen got tired of watching Chris play happy families with Gwyn and was annoyed that he was trying to keep her hidden away," another insider told Mail Online.

Another source from Us Weekly attributes the split to their "insane schedules." "They really like each other. But it's just so complicated with so much going on," said the source.

Lawrence began seeing Martin in late June after she broke up with her on-off boyfriend and X-Men co-star Nicholas Hoult. The Coldplay front man, meanwhile, announced his separation from Paltrow in March after more than 10 years of marriage.

Throughout their four-month relationship, both Lawrence and Martin stayed mum on their romance, and they were photographed together only once.

Earlier this month, the "Hunger Games" star was seen supporting Martin at his guest performance at the Kings of Leon concert at the Hollywood Bowl. She was also present at the iHeart Radio Music Festival in September where Coldplay performed.

In the November issue of Vanity Fair, the 24-year old Oscar winner talked about her ideal relationship.

Instead of a "big, passionate love," she said, "I'd rather have just a peaceful time. [Those] are deeper because you can be your true self with somebody, and somebody can be their true self with you."
