Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen: Calls Herself a 'Troll'
Jennifer Lawrence has referred to herself as a "troll" while on David Letterman just ahead of her debut as Katniss Everdeen in "The Hunger Games."
The film premieres Friday and will likely catapult the 21-year-old actress into stardom, but Lawrence admitted she never pictured herself as the film's heroine.
"I'm a troll," said Lawrence on "The Late Show with David Letterman" Tuesday when the show's host asked her whether she could see what fans see when they watch "The Hunger Games."

"I hate myself whenever I watch. Yeah, don't go see the movies- I'm a troll," added the actress. She quickly noted, "I think the movie is great, but their biggest mistake was me."
The actress was nominated for an Oscar for last year's "Winter Bone," but shared that she still gets nervous while walking the red carpet.
"I get really hyper and then I go on interviews and I'm like, 'I'm like a Chihuahua, I'm shaking and peeing,'" Lawrence told Letterman. "And then afterwards, I'm like, I just talked about peeing on the red carpet. It's just not a situation for a normal person."
Lawrence added that during two of the four "Hunger Games" premieres in the past few weeks, she has tripped.
"Like, massive trips," she said. The actress also divulged that she has to be reminded to suck in her stomach as she poses in front of photographers on the red carpet.
Lawrence further opened up with honesty on her role as Katniss in the highly anticipated film while meeting with the press.
"I pictured [her] as another face, with a braid," she said during Moviefone's special "The Hunger Games" edition of Unscripted.
"The Hunger Games" is estimated to gross at least $95 million in its opening weekend, and even a $100 million weekend is possible, reported Reuters.
The film also sees actors Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, and Woody Harrelson, among many other stars.
Based on the young adult science fiction trilogy of books by Suzanne Collins, "The Hunger Games" introduces 16-year-old Katniss Everdeen. The heroine lives in a post-apocalyptic world in the country of Panem where the United States once existed. In Panem, a government working in a central city called the Capitol holds all of the power.
The books follow Katniss, portrayed by Lawrence in the film, as she attends a nationally televised competition. The Capitol selects one boy and one girl aged 12 to 18 from each of the 12 districts to participate in a battle to the death where only one survives: the winner.
