Jennifer Lawrence Says 'Acting Is Stupid'
"I'm not saving anybody's life. There are doctors who save lives and firemen who run into burning buildings," says actress.
Actress Jennifer Lawrence, known for her quirky sense of humor and role in the hit movie "The Hunger Games," recently told Vanity Fair magazine that she thinks acting is "stupid," and described herself as "vastly uneducated."
"Not to sound rude, but [acting] is stupid," Lawrence told Vanity Fair for its February 2013 issue.
"Everybody's like, 'How can you remain with a level head?' And I'm like, 'Why would I ever get cocky? I'm not saving anybody's life. There are doctors who save lives and firemen who run into burning buildings. I'm making movies. It's stupid,'" the 22-year-old added.
Lawrence went on to tell Vanity Fair of her multiple skills with a bow and arrow, a talent which she learned while training to play the main role of Katniss Everdeen in "The Hunger Games," as well as her nervous behavior when she meets A-list celebrities, such as Meryl Streep.
Lawrence, who most recently starred in the movie "Silver Linings Playbook" alongside actor Bradley Cooper, has become known in the Hollywood community as saying often comical and self-depracating quotes in interviews.
Some notable gems from Lawrence's past interviews include her telling The New York Times: "When I dance, I look like I'm a dad at a prom. I never grasped my limbs. Ever since puberty I've just kind of felt like we don't understand each other."
The young actress recently won the title of world's most desirable woman in an international poll released by Askmen.com.
Additionally, Rolling Stone magazine named her the most talented young actress in America for 2012.
