Jennifer Lopez Rep Denies Casper Smart Pregnancy Reports
Jennifer Lopez's representative has denied speculation that she and Casper Smart are trying to have children following reports that the singer recently told friends that she's having another baby.
Lopez, 42, reportedly told family that "'I'm having a baby!'" a source told Star Magazine, adding that "Jennifer has always dreamed of having three or four kids. She knows that if she is going to be a biological mom again, it has to happen sooner rather than later. So she's decided to just let nature take its course."
Lopez, a mother of two, began dating Smart, a 25-year-old backup dancer, shortly after separating from her estranged husband, Marc Anthony, in July 2011.
"Jennifer and Casper spend all their spare time together – and he is crazy about [her] twins," the source said.
"He's a great substitute dad, and the twins love to play with him. They're already like a family," the insider added. Smart had reportedly previously told Lopez that he was not ready for children but according to the source "he's now had a change of heart after seeing what an amazing mom J.Lo is to the twins."
A representative for Lopez immediately slammed the reports that the couple are planning to have a baby as being "inaccurate," according to Gossip Cop.
The "American Idol" judge has received some criticism about the 17-year age gap between her and Smart, who has playfully been dubbed her "boy toy" by various media outlets.
Smart previously took to social networking site Twitter in January after the criticism evidently became overwhelming for the pair.
"Age, status, n opinions of others are irrelevant. Our hearts are endless and our souls infinite...To be continued," Smart tweeted.
"Our ages are mere reminders of the hours logged on this earth and the precious time remaining...To be continued," he wrote.
"We should all honor our time here by indulging our passion and dreams. So, close your ears and open your hearts; Love and be happy!" he later added.
