Jennifer Lopez Seeks Jimmy Kimmel's Help on Naming New Album (VIDEO)
Jennifer Lopez appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" where she discussed her 10th and forthcoming new album.
The new album hits stores June 17 and feature collaborations with hit producer Max Martin as well as singers Robin Thicke and Maxwell. Over the past week, Lopez confirmed that the lead single was entitled "First Love," but the hitmaker has not yet decided on the album's title.
"I'm behind," Lopez said of her inability to name the album while on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Monday, April 28.
"That's a good title, by the way," Kimmel responded in jest.
"I have a few different titles, I don't know, maybe people can help me with this," Lopez said before tossing ideas around with Kimmel and the audience.
"One of them, which I think some of my fans know, I did a song called 'Same Girl,' that is one of them," the singer continued. "Then another [title] I had, one was called, 'AKA' because I have been given so many monikers."
Lopez and Kimmel also discussed a new song entitled "Big Booty" which will be on the new album.
"I said I would never do a song called 'Big Booty,' J.Lo explained. "I always take stuff to my car and live with it, I listen to it and see which ones will I go and record. So I am in my car with my twins Max and Emme who were five at the time, and the minute they hear 'Big Booty,' they went crazy, they loved the song. And because they loved it, I recorded it."
Lopez shares Max and Emme, 6, with ex-husband Marc Anthony. The mom of two also revealed that her son may have inherited his parents' musical talents.
"My son has a very good ear- he could be the next Clive Davis," she told Kimmel. "I don't know what I want him to do, I just want him to be happy but he can pick the big smashes on the first listen."
Also during the "Jimmy Kimmel Live" appearance, the Grammy Award winner explained the lyrics to her recent single "I Luh Ya Papi" for a segment called "New Lyrics for Old People." After Lopez sang the lyric, Kimmel offered his translation to the words and their sometimes illicit meaning. Watch the video here.
