Jennifer Love Hewitt Engaged Following Pregnancy

Jennifer Love Hewitt confirmed that she is expecting her first child with Brian Hallisay, but reports this week also indicate that the couple plans to marry.

The actors, who have been dating for a little over a year, confirmed their pregnancy on Tuesday.

"We're so thrilled and happy to start a family," said Hewitt and Hallisay in a statement to Us Weekly.

"This is a wonderful time and we are looking forward to starting our family together," the couple added, according to Just Jared.

However, the parents-to-be have even more to celebrate, according to US Weekly.

Hallisay reportedly proposed to Hewitt in late May while the couple was on vacation in Europe.

Both 34-years-old, the couple met on the set of the short-lived television series "Love Bites." However, the actors were reunited on the set of "The Client List," which just wrapped its second season on Lifetime.

The marriage as well as the baby will be the first for both actors. Hewitt has been previously linked to John Mayer, Jamie Kennedy, and ex-fiance Ross McCall.

Meanwhile, the actress is reportedly three months along in her pregnancy, making her due date likely to land in the fall.

Nevertheless, "The Client List" star recently opened up about staying in shape while speaking to a fitness magazine where she addressed her previous struggle to accept criticism.

"I'm an actress, I live in L.A., I work in Hollywood," Hewitt explained to Women's Running magazine. "But I've learned that if you're too skinny, they'll say something about it. If you're not skinny enough, they'll say something about it."

Hewitt went on to admit a fitness regime, however, she has finally embraced her naturally curvier body.

"I just try to feel good in my own skin as much as I can," she added.
