Jenny McCarthy Celebrates the New Year, Quits Smoking
Jenny McCarthy rung in 2014 as the co-host of ABC's "New Year's Rockin' Eve" alongside Ryan Seacrest when she announced her New Year's resolution to quit smoking.
The television personality is joining millions of others who are taking oaths to give up a vice in the New Year.
Talking about the tradition of New Year's resolutions, Seacrest said, "In a world where people are on different pages all the time, this is the one moment where you feel like everybody's on the same page."
"Unless you're at home living with cats," McCarthy added.
The comedienne went on to explain she had "already begun" her resolution: to give up smoking, according to WebPro News.
As the night went on, Miley Cyrus appeared on ABC's "Rockin' Eve" during a performance which McCarthy previously said was a "salute to women who do kind of crazy antics."
"Insanity, craziness," why not be a little crazy this year," Seacrest added. "Just give her a camera and a live mic and you definitely want to stick around and watch."
Meanwhile, McCarthy celebrated New Year's with her boyfriend Donnie Wahlberg who also appeared on the annual televised program.
The couple took their romance public in July 2013 after meeting through Andy Cohen, and McCarthy has since discussed her relationship while appearing on "Bethenny."
"I told the universe I am ready for love," the actress explained. "I said bring The One. I am not doing anymore auditions, I did one year of no dating, I am going to say no to everyone and if someone breaks through where I'm like, 'Hmmm,' then I'll follow that, and I wound up giving him my phone number."
As for marriage, McCarthy said she thought Wahlberg would make an "amazing husband."
"You know, I've said on every interview that I was like, 'Never get married again ever,' and, of course, you never say never," the actress noted. "So if he does [propose] I would for sure say yes."
