Jeremy Lin Glorifies God Following Knicks Defeat, Calling Himself 'Terrible'
Jeremy Lin glorified God on his personal Twitter account after helping his Houston Rockets defeat his former New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, a feat that no other team has accomplished thus far.
Lin seemed grateful for the 109-96 Rockets defeat of the Knicks where he was able to offer his team 22 points on 9-of-15 shooting along with eight assists and two steals. The 24-year-old Christian guard took to Twitter to glorify God for his personal and team performances that resulted in the Knicks losing at home for the first time since the 2012-2013 regular NBA season began.
"Had a fun time back at MSG tonight...lots of great memories," Lin tweeted after his big game Monday. "(Thanks) to all the fans who showed out. All glory to God!"

Although Lin performed well on Monday, he has not shied away from criticizing his game of late. When asked about his performance in a New York Post report, Lin admitted that he has done a terrible job before Monday night.
"Terrible. I think I'm not doing close to what I'm capable of doing and it's a matter of figuring out how to get myself to play more like myself within the system with the change of scenery," Lin said. "I'll be my harshest critic but I'll go ahead and say it: I'm doing terrible."
Despite Lin being hard on himself before his big game on Monday, Rockets general manager Daryl Morey made it clear that he believed in the budding guard in a Yahoo! Sports report.
"He never stopped. This was the best of Lin: Instinctive, creative and working in synchronicity with (James) Harden. After a troubling performance on Sunday in Toronto, Lin called his play 'terrible,' and those within the organization could see him fighting with himself... He's hard on himself, the way Shane Battier was here," Morey told Yahoo! on Monday night. "But Shane had more experience, more to draw from."
Still, Lin seemed to surprise himself after his debut in the Knicks arena playing for an opposing team turned out to produce results in his favor.
"It was a lot of fun playing on that court again," Lin said in a New York Times report. "I'm thankful to the fans. It was actually a lot better than I thought."
