Jeremy Lin News: Nets Point Guard Back on the Court, Leads Team to Victory Against Knicks

Professional basketball player Jeremy Lin is back on the court after recuperating from a hamstring injury. He may have started out slow on Sunday, March 12, in his first game after three months of hiatus, but he eventually pulled through for his team, winning the game for the Brooklyn Nets.

Lin was reportedly a bit disoriented when he first stepped on Barclays Center for Sunday night's game, having not played in any official game for three months. But by the end of the fourth quarter, he managed to make 13 points to help take his team to victory on their eight-game road trip. They defeated the New York Knicks, 120–112.

In a post-game interview with News Day, Lin shared that he was well aware that his mind was not quite in the game for the earlier parts of it.

"I think I was still out West for the first 3 ½ quarters and gladly, I was able to show up a little bit," Lin said.

He also revealed that he was having a sense of letting his team down in his first game back on the court and didn't feel like he was doing his part. But despite feeling this way, he tried to stay as aggressive as he could and tried his best to stay focused on his duties as point guard.

"I think that was able to calm me down a little bit, and keep attacking, because I feel part of me was, 'Man, you should not attack,'" Lin added.

Despite his initial insecurities, Lin managed to make it back to the game in the final five minutes, making up for all the times he had been forced to stay on the bench due to his injury. His hamstring injury has already derailed his first season with his new team. This has helped motivate him to finally step up and show off what he can do.

The 28-year-old pro baller concluded his first game back with 13 points, four rebounds and five assists, even sinking a significant three-pointer in the last five minutes of the game to keep the Knicks at bay.
