Jeremy Lin Speaks Out on His Possible Future in Charlotte and Free Agency -
Lin last played for the Charlotte Hornets.
This year has been one of the most impressive seasons for Charlotte Hornets guard Jeremy Lin.
Still easily remembered for his "Linsanity" days with the New York Knicks, Lin has now carved his new role with the Hornets – normally seen as a back-up point guard to Kemba Walker, but sometimes also seen playing side-by-side as a potent backcourt tandem.
The 27-year-old guard played 78 regular season games with the Hornets, averaging 11.7 points, 3.0 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game in around 26.3 minutes every night.

However, he showed glimpses of what he could offer in the seven games he played in the post-season against the Miami Heat.
In that battle, Lin's average slightly increased with 12.4 points per game on 27 minutes on the floor.
Unfortunately the Hornets are out of the post-season and many questions surround Lin on where his future lies.
As reported by the Charlotte Observer's Rick Bonnell, Lin has the ability to opt out of his contract this year – which would guarantee him $2.2 million this season – and he will likely do so to check how the market goes surrounding him.
However, when asked personally, Lin revealed that he still wants to remain a Hornet.
Speaking to reporters, Lin answered when asked whether he wants to stay: "I would love to. I don't like moving every year, I don't like packing and unpacking boxes. So we'll see. But I'm definitely interested in coming back."
Lin would go on and elaborate by saying: "This is the most fun I've had in my six years" in the NBA. Being around a great group of guys and a coaching staff that really cares. I've learned so much about the game of basketball, particularly at the defensive end."
When asked about the money, Lin quickly stated that it is secondary, and he believes that it does not directly relate as he has played with a big contract before with the Houston Rockets, but chose to move to the Hornets for a lesser amount.
On his Facebook feed, Lin elaborated on the probability of him opting out by saying: "For free agency, I will seek out every opportunity that gives me the greatest chance to be the best player I can be. I believe I'm just getting started. I have more to give and more to accomplish."
It remains to be seen how this will ultimately play out.
