Lin came back in a game against the Houston Rockets and played for 20 minutes before being sent back to the bench because of back spasms. Despite losing, the Nets showed they could be competitive against one of the best teams in the league. The final score was 118-122.

The Nets then played against the Los Angeles Lakers, which they won with a final score of 97-107. Bojan Bogdanovic led all Brooklyn players with 23 points, while Trevor Booker had a game-high 18 rebounds. Sean Kilpatrick also led the game with 5 assists. Jeremy Lin didn't play in this game, as he was still under observation by the doctors due to his injuries.

According to Jeremy Lin, "Some of the stuff, in terms of my feel for the game, it didn't feel like I was gone for that long. I felt the rhythm. Free throws or coming down and shooting certain shots or even just an open shoot-and-catch three, it feels so different in a game environment. You know, you have opponents running at you. So it was more of that stuff than the overall feel and control of the game."

Loss to Magic

Jeremy Lin returned to play against the Orlando Magic. He had 17 points but they lost with a final score of 118-111.

Lin only played 19 minutes in that game, but he showed a clutch performance by scoring 7 points in the last 4:53 of the game, hoping to steal a win from Orlando. In fact, Lin actually made a layup which tied the score with around 2 minutes left in the fourth.

Lin blamed himself though, for not making the shots that mattered near the end of the game, when the Orlando Magic made a run of their own to seal the victory. Nevertheless, he mentioned how grateful he is that coach Kenny Atkinson trusts him with the end game crucial shots.

In the game, Brook Lopez contributed with 22 points and grabbed 6 rebounds, while Bogdanovic had 15 points. Evan Fournier of the Magic had 21 points on 5 of 15 shooting.
