Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald Wedding Update: Wedding Shower Details Revealed

Last week, "19 Kids and Counting" star Jessa Duggar and her fiancé Ben Seewald were given a wedding shower by their family and friends, according to Starcasm.net. The couple will be tying the knot on Nov. 1, and for the past few weeks, they have been kept busy by wedding preparations as they have opted to do it by themselves rather than hiring a wedding planner to oversee things.

"I really don't have a vision of how to put a wedding together, it is just an endless amount of details and choices. It is overwhelming. But we are excited for Ben and Jessa and how the Lord has worked in their lives," Duggar patriarch Jim Bob explained.

Jessa and Ben's wedding shower was reportedly held in a hall in Arkansas which was made "Pinterest-perfect" through the addition of chocolate-colored tablecloths, bouquets of fall flowers and other rustic details. A photo collage of the couple, hand-painted signs and a "Mr. and Mrs." banner completed the whole look of the venue.

The website reports that Jessa and Ben were photographed for the Humans of Arkansas Facebook page and that they shared what they learned so far in their relationship.

"You really have to make sure that you are walking with God, so you can encourage and build up the other person and draw them closer to God," Ben said. "You want to be encouraging them and lifting them up."

Jessa said, "The biggest thing that I have learned from this relationship is learning to communicate well and learning how to talk to one another and work out differences, even in the small things."

The pair has previously shared wedding plans earlier this month as it was announced on the Duggar blog that their guests will be feasting on ice cream sundaes instead of cake, and that they have chosen navy blue, gray, and coral pink as their wedding motif.

The couple also said that they hope to have a large family, though they leave the timing up to God.

"We're both open to children and looking forward to starting a family of our own. We also really want to adopt," said Jessa in an interview with People magazine.
