Jessica Biel Had 'Demonic' Dolls, Describes Childhood
Jessica Biel has opened up about her youth in the April edition of W magazine, and has revealed that when she was younger she used her Barbie dolls in a slightly "demonic" way.
"I did [have Barbies] but it was always, 'Let's play sex with Barbies!'" Explained the former "7th Heaven" star.
Biel continued to describe her childhood habits while playing with the dolls as well as her parents' reactions.
"My barbies were usually naked. Once, I took their heads off, cut their hair, drew on short, spiky hair with markers, then stuck the heads on Christmas lights," said the actress. "Every year, we'd string our tree with those Barbie heads. It looked demonic. My parents were so cool - they saw it as a form of self-expression."
The 30-year-old actress recently became engaged to pop music superstar Justin Timberlake. During her interview with W, Biel also admitted to being a tomboy when she was younger. She recounted the first movie she ever saw, "The Goonies."
"I never identified with girls, and the cast was all boys," Biel said of the film. "Girls were nervous about going into caves; they were scaredy-cats and I wasn't into that at all. I loved the idea of being with a crew and having an adventure. I was really interested in pits of snakes."
Biel appears in the upcoming film "Total Recall" alongside Kate Beckinsale. Both actresses have appeared in action movies with fight scenes before, but Biel said she and Beckinsale were extra careful with one another.
"Kate and I usually fight men in movies, and when you knock into a man, he doesn't care," said the actress. "But every two seconds, Kate and I were saying, 'I'm so sorry - are you OK?' We were both so nervous about fighting another woman."
Biel continued to explain how strange their caution was, "because I have no problem fighting with a guy. In truth, I like doing anything that requires breaking a sweat," said the actress.
"Total Recall" also sees Colin Farrell and is scheduled to premiere August 3.
