'Jessica Jones' Season 2 News: Who Is the Most Likely Candidate to Be Season 2's Main Villain?

Marvel fans rejoiced when "Jessica Jones" was released by Netflix, since the show gives a different kind of superhero TV series. Superheroes are not always perfect, and that is what Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) shows in her solo series. With the first season ending with Kilgrave (David Tennant) as the main supervillain, fans wonder who could be the next threat once the show returns for another season.

According to Carter Matt, the best person to be Jessica Jones' next nemesis should be Officer Will Simpson (Wil Traval). The website said that the NYPD police officer could easily transition into becoming the villain Nuke, who has a long history with many of the Marvel superheroes. The report described Nuke as "Captain America gone horribly wrong," and someone who is a result of several experiments where he ended up with super strength. Fans are super excited with the possibility of Nuke appearing on "Jessica Jones'" sophomore run since the two characters do not have a lot of connection in the Marvel Universe.

Since the website said that the likelihood of Officer Simpson becoming a modified version of Nuke is high, it will be interesting to see how Jessica Jones will defeat her new nemesis. The fun part of the next season is the chance of calling in the Defenders for help, in case Jessica needed a full team of superheroes to defeat Nuke. Although fan theories sound promising, viewers would still have to wait until "Jessica Jones" is confirmed to come back for a second season.

Deadline was able to chat with the show's creator, Melissa Rosenberg, and said that she would really love to do a second run of "Jessica Jones." "God willing, yeah. I'd love to do a Season 2 of this." If given the chance to return, Rosenberg said that she wants to explore more of Jessica Jones' world next season. "She will continue to drink and make mistakes, and accidentally drop people onto train tracks, but something has changed for her by the end of this season, and I'd just love to explore that in the second season."
