'Jessica Jones' Season 2: Jessica and Will to Cross Paths Again

Will Simpson (Will Traval), aka Nuke, will return to finish what he started in the next season of "Jessica Jones."

Production for the new installment of the Netflix series has officially started. According to Screen Rant, Traval will reprise his role as IGH's supersoldier. The actor has reportedly tweeted that he was traveling to New York, where the "Jessica Jones" set is located.

Fans of the series know Will as Trish's (Rachael Taylor) love interest. He helped Jessica (Krysten Ritter) in the fight against Kilgrave (David Tennant). For a while, both women were in sync with Will's objective. They all wanted to end the mind-controlling villain's reign.

When Will started demonstrating aggression, Jessica and Trish had to cut him off. It was revealed that he was taking IGH's pills. The mystery organization has been supplying its soldiers with the drug, transforming them into powerful fighting machines, devoid of emotions. Will started losing his humanity, something that concerned Jessica. It is expected that he will once again cross paths with them, but this time around, he will be Nuke, a dangerous villain.

In an August interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Melissa Rosenberg mentioned that they have several adversaries lined up for Jessica. If the first season mainly focused on Tennant's character, the next one would be more diverse in a sense that Jessica would take a number of enemies. The EP said they have no intention of replicating what they did with the Kilgrave storyline. She said they would be following a different track.

"Or antagonists, plural. No one is ever going to beat David Tennant as Kilgrave, so you don't do that. The biggest mistake would be to try to repeat that. You just go, 'OK, we're not doing that, so we have this open to us,'" the EP teased.

"Jessica Jones" season 2 is rumored to air sometime in 2018.
