'Jessica Jones' Season 2 Spoilers: Jessica to Come Out Strong Amidst Depression

Jessica (Krysten Ritter) will not let her mental and emotional condition affect her job as a superhero in the upcoming season of "Jessica Jones."

Spoilers for the new installment indicate that Jessica's journey will continue to become darker and more unsettling. She is on her way to learning what truly happened after the night her parents died in that accident.

Jessica will also deal with her depression, hoping that someday soon, she will get over it. Still, many fans are rooting for the character to come out stronger. In a recent interview with Vulture, Ritter spoke about her preparations for the new season. According to her, it was tough handling such a tight schedule. Before she started filming for "Jessica Jones," she was busy with the production of "The Defenders."

"I'm, like, just past the midway mark on Jessica Jones season two and they keep throwing stuff at me and it's very dark and it's very heavy. I think I've approached this season differently, because I've done The Defenders, went home, took a shower, came back, and started Jessica Jones season two. ... Get that balance. Because in season one, I was so in it – gung-ho, whole body, all I got. Then it got really dark for me. So I'm like, okay, how do I maintain this production schedule for 12 months straight? Which is something I've never even heard of," Ritter said.

Meanwhile, speculation is rife that Jessica's investigation on IGH, the mysterious organization who helped with her medical operations, will encounter a lot of hitches. There is the possibility that the group will succeed in keeping Jessica from discovering its true motives.

Previously, it has been teased that IGH is creating an army of super soldiers. Jessica's sudden manifestation of powers seems to be connected to the organization as well. IGH may tap on Jessica's gratitude for helping her survive after the accident. Perhaps Trish (Rachael Taylor) will be able to lead Jessica down the right path to discover IGH's secrets.

"Jessica Jones" season 2 is expected to air next year on Netflix.
