Jessica Simpson Pregnant Again, Weight Watchers 'Thrilled' (VIDEO)

Jessica Simpson confirmed that she is pregnant with her second child and despite claims that the pregnancy would affect her lucrative Weight Watchers deal, the company confirmed that the singer is still a weight loss ambassador.

Simpson, 33, whose latest Weight Watchers ad debuted on Christmas day, announced her pregnancy news while while filming. The expectant mom, who is engaged to Eric Johnson, appears relaxed and happy during the commercial while showing off her 50 lbs weight loss, according to Mail Online.

"This year is all about new beginnings for me. I lost over 50 pounds on Weight Watchers and did not have to be perfect to do it," Simpson said. "Being healthy has become a part of who I am -- which is great timing, because I'm having another baby."

The pregnancy announcement prompted congratulatory messages from fans around the world and Weight Watchers, who are said to be "thrilled," congratulated Simpson during the festive holiday.

"Congrats to Jessica Simpson, Eric and big-sister-to-be Maxwell! Your WW family is so thrilled for you. What an amazing year you've had!" the weight loss giant tweeted.

Simpson, who has a $4 million weight loss deal with the company, will take a break from dieting during her pregnancy. Weight Watchers confirmed that she will resume her weight loss program after giving birth.

"[Simpson] will not be following the program during the pregnancy while her weight and well-being are monitored by her obstetrician, as is recommended for any woman during pregnancy," the company said in a statement. "After she gives birth, Jessica and her doctor will decide when she may resume following the Weight Watchers program."

Concerned fans had initially vented outrage at Weight Watchers after reports that Simpson had been fired due to her second pregnancy surfaced. However a company spokesperson cleared up those rumors.

"There have been no changes to our business agreement with Jessica," a Weight Watchers spokesperson told ABC News.

"Jessica's successful weight loss prior to becoming pregnant will be featured in Weight Watchers' new "Expect Amazing" advertising campaign, including a spot with her sharing the happy news," the spokesperson added.
