Jessica Simpson Shares Candid Photos With Fiancé: 'Thank God He Likes Me In A Pony Tail'

Jessica Simpson took to her new Instagram account with candid photos of fiancé Eric Johnson and their two children over the weekend.

The fashion designer joined the popular social media platform earlier this month, and she has never been shy of sharing candid photos of her adorable growing family. Furthermore, Simpson is not one to hide behind hair and makeup in photos published to social media, and Sunday was no exception.

"Date Day," she wrote in the caption of herself dressed casually and hugging Johnson. "Thank God he likes me in a ponytail… Duh ; )"

Simpson's gratitude to God in Sunday's post comes as no surprise since the actress was raised in a spiritual household where she developed a strong faith.

"I'm spiritual. I live off the faith that has been instilled in me, that has never left," Simpson told Vanity Fair magazine in 2009. "I've never let a stumbling block actually make me fall … We all go through trials, but not one thing has ever made me question God. I have a great relationship with God. I can talk to Him, get mad at him, frustrated with him. But, ultimately, my faith is what defines me."

Set to marry later this year, Simpson and Johnson have been together since May 2010. The pair now share two children together; a one-and-a-half-year-old daughter Maxwell Drew, and son Ace Knute, six-months.

The photo of Simpsin and Johnson was not the only photo published to Simpson's Instagram account recently. The shoe designer proceeded to share several photos of her toddler daughter as well as her baby son.

"Raiding mom mom's closet. I don't blame her! She is too young to steal," Simpson wrote in the caption of a photo with her baby daughter wearing adult shoes.

In another shot, Simpson and Maxwell shared a kiss.

"I get sooooo many yummy kisses," she wrote in the caption.

Simpson also shared a photo from the end of the "family day" featuring Johnson holding the couple's children in towels.

"Bath time buds," the Weight Watcher spokesperson wrote in the caption.
