Jessica Simpson, Sister Ashlee Planning Second Weddings Together? Pair 'Very Close'
Sisters Jessica and Ashlee Simpson are reportedly planning their forthcoming weddings together, insiders claim.
The fashion mogul, 33, and her younger sister, 29, will reportedly hold their weddings just weeks apart which has inspired them to plan the events together. Jessica will wed former NFL star Eric Johnson in Santa Barbara, California on July 4 while Ashlee will marry her fiancé Evan Ross during Labor Day weekend wedding in Connecticut, according to E! Online.
"Jessica and Ashlee are very close and really supportive with each other, especially since both weddings are coming up," a source told E! Online.
"They have been doing lots of wedding stuff together. During this wedding process they both have been talking to each other about their ideas, even though they both are having very different weddings," the insider revealed.
The Weight Watchers ambassador is said to be planning a "classic and modern" ceremony while Ashlee has opted for a "bohemian" theme wedding. Both events will mark second marriages for the famous sisters as Jessica was once married to singer Nick Lachey and Ashlee previously had a three-year marriage with singer Pete Wentz, with whom she shares a 5-year-old son Bronx.
Iconic singer Diana Ross, who is the mother of Evan, has reportedly agreed to host her son's August 31 wedding at her lavish Greenwich estate. She is also expected to perform at the reception and guests will likely include Motown legends Stevie Wonder and Smokey Robinson.
"We just want to be married. We're in love," Evan told E! News.
"This is the most incredible time I could ever think of in my life and I'm young, but the same time, I've lived a different life than most and I can't think of a happier moment," he added.
Jessica and Johnson, who got engaged in 2010 and share two children, will reportedly exchange "I dos" at the upscale Bacara Resort & Spa in Santa Barbara, California in coming weeks.
The resort, which can accommodate hundreds of people, sits on 78-acres and overlooks the Pacific Ocean.
Guests will reportedly feast on traditional southern barbecue which is fitting considering Jessica hails from Texas.
"It'll definitely be extravagant. I don't do things small," Simpson recently told the "Today" show.
