Jhessye Shockley’s Mother Arrested: Police Fear She Killed Little Girl (VIDEO)
Glendale, Ariz., police have arrested the mother of Jhessye Shockley after more than a month of searching for the 5-year-old missing girl.
Jhessye Shockley’s Mother Arrested Feared Killed Little GirlJerice Hunter who has claimed that her daughter went missing on Oct.11 after she left the little girl locked in her apartment to run an errand, was arrested on charges pertaining to little Jhessye.
According to the Associated Press, Sgt. Brent Coombs of the Glendale police department told reporters at a news conference Monday that information discovered over the past few days, convinced police to serve another search warrant on the home of Hunter which resulted in her arrest.

In contrast to optimism expressed by Combs over the past two weeks that Jhessye would be found, especially after the case had begun to receive national media attention, the police now express doubt that the little girl would ever be found. And declared that, Hunter “is our No. 1 focus.”
On Monday Ariz. Child Protective services took custody of Hunter’s three other children, including a new born.
The news of Hunters arrest follows an emotional interview that Hunter granted to Phoenix KPHO TV , in which the mother pledged to find her little girl, "Jhessye, somebody’s thinking about you, if nobody but us [the girl’s family], Mamma coming to get you.”
Hunter then went on to adamantly express that she will not allow her daughter to remain away from her family.
Hunter’s home was surrounded by police tape Monday, as investigators wearing white jumpsuits conducted a strenuous search of its confines.
