Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard's wedding was very well attended, with over 1,000 guests. Now details of the couple's reception have been released and show just how many people were present to celebrate the special day and marriage of the eldest Duggar daughter.

After exchanging vows and the all-important first kiss, Jill and Derick were greeted by each and every guest. The party included over 600 cupcakes, 3,000 chocolate-chip cookies and 3,000 root-beer floats for the guests to enjoy; everything was handmade, per Duggar family tradition, and festivities went off without a hitch.

"I'm so grateful to all the volunteers who helped put everything together for the wedding," mother-of-the-bride Michelle Duggar told People. "Everyone has worked hard and done an amazing job."

Oldest brother Josh Duggar was the emcee for the reception and helped keep everyone in order by guiding them to the various tables and stations set up on the church grounds. He married wife Anna several years ago and the couple now has three children. They were among 100 of the immediate family guests, but dad Jim Bob said that there was family from over 30 states present at the nuptials.

One special station for the family was a display featuring Michelle's wedding dress and Derick's late father's police uniform. Derick's father, Rick, passed away in 2008. His mother has been battling cancer, and it was a wonderful moment to have her come from the hospital to the church for the wedding. Everyone offered up prayers for her healing the night before the ceremony.

"It was worth the wait!" Jill told People of the first kiss she shared with her husband after saying, "I do."

The couple chose to wait for their wedding day in order to kiss. During their courtship, they exchanged side-hugs and held hands. It was very important to them to save physical intimacy until after their wedding day. Of course, as the couple prepared to leave the reception, the crowd began chanting, "Kiss! Kiss!" and Jill and Derick were only too happy to oblige.
