Jillian Michaels Book 'Slim For Life' Reveals New Attitude
Jillian Michaels has opened up about her latest weight loss book and revealed her softer side.
Released last month, "Slim for Life: My Insider Secrets to Simple, Fast and Lasting Weight Loss" features Michaels' most up-to-date advice for living a healthier lifestyle.
The personal trainer has helped millions of people lose weight and garnered an even stronger fan following after starring on the hit television series "The Biggest Loser."
Additionally, Michaels is well known for her tough attitude and determination to get weight loss results.
However, the 39-year-old fitness guru has admitted that she has taken a new approach to training after having become a mother. Michaels and her partner Heidi Rhoades have two children; Haitian-born daughter Lukensia, age 3, and Phoenix, 1.
"It's my softest approach to weight loss," admitted the trainer to the Associated Press.
"Even if you're just standing while you're talking on the phone you can burn up to 300 calories a day," Michaels continued, noting her busier lifestyle of late.
Despite her firm persona on "Biggest Loser," Michaels divulged that her main goal is to solve people's weight problems.
"I wanted to write a book where you felt like I was sitting right there with you," said the trainer of her new book. "Providing a simple solution for every problem or complaint I've ever heard."
Meanwhile, the Emmy-nominated co-talk show host recently explained "several reasons" for both her departure and her return to "The Biggest Loser" during the Television Critics Association Winter Tour 2013 earlier this year.
Furthermore, Michaels pointed out that becoming a mother will not make her go any easier on those participating in the weight-loss reality series.
"Everybody was like, 'You're going to be so much softer.' And I really wanted to be, but it's not the case," she said during the press tour.
As for this time on the show, Michaels said she would stay on as long as the fans and producers want her.
