Jimmy Fallon Baby Arrives, Comedian and Wife 'Overjoyed'
Jimmy Fallon and his wife Nancy Juvonen quietly welcomed their first child together, a daughter, on Tuesday.
The couple had not publicly announced that they were expecting, but a rep for the "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" host confirmed the news.
According to the rep, the new parents "are overjoyed about the arrival of their beautiful daughter," reported E! News.
The baby arrived at 6:21 a.m. in New York City on Tuesday, just one day after the baby boom that included the arrivals of several high-profile children, including the royal baby born to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Although he did not mention his own wife's imminent labor, Fallon took to Twitter joking about the royal baby news on Monday.
"Kate Middleton went into labor this morning," wrote the funnyman. "When the rest of the royal family heard, they said, 'Oh my God- what's 'labor'?" #fallonmono"
While the name for Fallon's baby girl has not been announced, the child will join the family that already includes their golden retriever Gary Frick, according to Us Weekly.
Fallon, 38, married his producer wife, 46, in December 2007. Juvonen co-owns Flower Films with friend and actress Drew Barrymore.
The baby news is not the only good news for Fallon lately. The television personality's "Late Night" show earned its third Emmy Award nomination for Best Variety Series last week.
Meanwhile, on Monday, Prince William and Kate Middleton welcomed their first child, while Penelope Cruz and her husband Javier Barden welcomed their second child on the same day. The "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" co-stars are already parents to son Leonardo.
Neither family has released the names of the newborns yet.
Furthermore, country music star Hillary Scott and her husband Chris Tyrrell welcomed baby Eisele Kaye on Monday. The baby girl is the first child for the couple.
"She's here, and we are in HEAVEN," the Lady Antebellum singer posted to Twitter after delivering her daughter.
"Eisele Kaye, our beautiful angel," Scott added, revealing the child's unique moniker. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!"
