Jimmy Kimmel Baby Girl Arrives, TV Host Congratulates 'Very Tough' Wife Molly

Jimmy Kimmel and his wife Molly McNearney welcomed their first child, a daughter, on Thursday, July 10.

The "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" host shared the exciting baby news on Twitter where he honored his "beautiful and very tough" wife.

"Congratulations to my beautiful and very tough wife @mollymcnearney on delivering our baby girl this morning," Kimmel shared with his thousands of followers.

Minutes later, the late-night comedy show host added, "Kids, don't do drugs. Until you have a baby. Then do ALL OF THEM."

Nevertheless, Kimmel and McNearney have not yet announced their baby girl's name. The child is Kimmel's third; he shares two adult children with his first wife Gina Maddy. Shortly after announcing the baby's arrival on Thursday, Kimmel referred to his popular television segment "Celebrities Read Mean Tweets."

"Thanks for all your kind baby wishes," the comedian wrote on Twitter. "Turns out, not ALL tweets are mean!"

"Celebrities Read Mean Tweets" has seven different installments on "Jimmy Kimmel Live." The segment of the show is to shed light on the bullies who use Twitter to lash out on celebrities who read them aloud. In May, stars such as Mindy Kaling, Sofia Vergara, Julia Roberts and Ashton Kutcher offered to read the mean tweets about themselves.

"There are people who think Julia Roberts is hot!? Her gigantic mouth looks like it will devour an elephant in one bite," Roberts read in the beginning of the clip.

The 46-year-old Academy Award-winning actress ended up hysterically laughing before finishing the post.

"Thank you kemotherapy7 and good luck," she added.

Kaling, who stars on "The Mindy Project," also read a particularly mean tweet about herself during the segment.

"Mindy Kaling is not funny or attractive, she has an annoying voice, and just plainly sucks … why does she have her own show," the actress read.

Afterward, Kaling said, "I feel like [that tweet] was more than 140 characters."

In the past, Kimmel's "Celebrities Read Mean Tweets" has featured stars such as Katy Perry, Jennifer Garner, Will Ferrell, Cate Blanchett, Jessica Alba and many others. Most recently on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," a new version of "Celebrities Read Mean Tweets" premiered featuring NBA stars.
