Jodi Arias Trial Ends Today: Defense Presents Closing Arguments (VIDEO)
The Jodi Arias trial is set to end Friday with the defense's closing arguments. It's been a long five months for the woman accused of murdering her ex-boyfriend, and everyone is weighing in on whether they believe she is guilty or innocent.
Prosecutor Juan Martinez has maintained that Arias knew all along what she was doing when she shot, stabbed, and slit Travis Alexander's throat. Yesterday he drove the argument home during the prosecution's closing arguments.
"She looked at each and every one of you and attempted to manipulate you," Martinez said. "She believes that even though she may have engaged in actions and done certain things, absolutely none of that is her fault. Why would it possibly be her fault? She had a personality of manipulating the facts."

"Even after stabbing him over and over again, and even after slashing his throat from ear to ear, and even after shooting him in the face, she will not let him rest in peace. But now, instead of a gun, instead of a knife, she uses lies," Martinez said of Arias. "She staged a scene for you, just like she staged a scene for police."
Martinez also brought up the fact that Arias has appeared on TV shows, signed a manifesto "in case" she became famous, and generally remained in the limelight. He also reminded the jury that Arias once said she would never be convicted because she is too good looking. The defense will have an opportunity to paint one last picture of Arias before the jury is to deliberate.
If found guilty, Arias could face the death penalty, but she could be found guilty of a lesser crime and given a lesser sentence. The public has been watching the trial since it began and is already anxious for the jury to issue a verdict.
"Jodi Arias last day of the trial, how long will it take the jury to decide?" tweeted Shelly Drought Moore.
"Four months into this trial, the defense is finally presenting their summation today. Jodi Arias will be a convicted murderer very soon," added April Bird. Based on social media, the public has already convicted Arias, though anything could happen once the case goes to the jury later today.
