Joe Giudice Facing Deportation? Family Reacts
Giuseppe "Joe" Giudice, the 43-year-old husband of "The Real Housewives Of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice, may be facing deportation back to Italy. He reacted to the news along with his family while appearing in court Tuesday to face an indictment for 39 counts of conspiracy to defraud lenders.
The Giudices are defending themselves against allegations that they received about $4.6 million in mortgages, home equity lines of credit and construction loans, according to USA Today reports. Joe reportedly did not file accurate taxes between the years of 2004 and 2008 and may be deported back to Italy if convicted of the crimes brought against him, according to The New York Daily News.
On his way to face the charges brought against him that could land him and Teresa 30 years in prison, Giudice reportedly slapped a news cameraman out of his way, the Daily News reports. Miles Feinstein, Joe's lawyer, attempted to calm him down.
"Calm down, Joe," Feinstein told his client, according to the Daily News. "Don't do that."
The Associated Press reported that the Giudices were each released from the courtroom on $500,000 bond but will not be allowed to leave the New York or New Jersey area.
Joe's family was not happy to speak to the media during the trying process Tuesday. Filomena Giudice, Joe's mother, did not seem happy when questioned about her feelings on the possibility of her son being deported.
"None of your (expletive) business," she told the reporter, according to the Daily News. "Worry about yourself."
Joe's brother Frank Giudice seemed to echo the same sentiments.
"Go to hell," he told reporters, according to the Daily News.
The Giudices are due to return to court Aug. 14 and have yet to officially enter their pleas.
