Joe Giudice News: The 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' Stars Prep for Prison as Teresa Readies to End Her Sentence
As Teresa Giudice prepares to leave the prison that kept her from her family for many months, her husband, Joe, also prepares for the longer time he will spend behind bars after being charged with fraud.
In the finale of Bravo TV's three part-special entitled "Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In," Joe opened the doors of his home to the public to give viewers a look at how he and his family prepares for his 41-month stay in prison, which will commence in March next year.
According to ABC News, the reality star has finally grown up as he told attorney James Leonard Jr. that one of the lessons he learned from his fraud conviction with Teresa is how to do things right.
"I didn't know I was doing things wrong. Basically I committed some kind of fraud with mortgages, and I know now it wasn't the right thing to do," he said.
On Sunday's episode, he also tackled the possibility of being deported back to his hometown, Italy. Although he initially said he isn't looking forward to going back to Italy where it was rumored in the past months that he is not in good terms with his family, he told Leonard Jr. that he is trying to tell himself that jail isn't the place he's going to.
According to People, Joe also sat down with his kids during the episode and reminded them that they need to stick up for each other once he's gone. One of his children, Milania, responded with assurance that she already knows how to deal with the pressure since she has yelled at people who bullied her sisters.
Teresa also had her fair share of emotional breakdowns during Sunday's episode when she reunited with her brother Joe Gorga. The two had a tearful conversation as they both counted the days until her release.
Joe was sentenced to 41 months in prison, while Teresa was sentenced to 15 months in March of 2014 for mail, wire, and bankruptcy fraud.
