John Cena, Nikki Bella Engaged After Almost Five Years of Dating
After dating for almost five years, World Wrestling Entertainment superstars John Cena and Nikki Bella have finally become an officially engaged couple.
While fans who attended WrestleMania 33 last Sunday have prepared themselves for an action-packed night, no one was expecting to watch Cena and Bella embark on an entirely new chapter of their relationship.
Cena and Bella hit the WWE ring at the Camping World Stadium last Sunday to face The Miz and Maryse in a tag-team match. Though Cena and Bella defeated the married wrestler couple, Bella could not get away from the usual "bridesmaids insults" she was getting from her recent opponents.

Weeks before WrestleMania 33, Maryse was seen in a video flashing her wedding ring while telling Bella she will never have one of her own. But last Sunday, the joke was on Maryse and the others who made fun of Bella for her relationship status.
While still in the ring, after the match, Cena went down on one knee while holding a diamond ring and asked Bella to marry him. The marriage proposal Bella had been waiting for happened in a stadium packed with more than 75,000 spectators and with a much larger crowd watching on their TVs at home as WWE Network subscribers reportedly grew by 7 percent (or an added 1.95 million subscribers since April 4, 2016) after the Sunday event.
The day after WrestleMania 33, Cena and Bella were on the "Today" show in NBC and shared more details about their most precious moment yet. Bella said, "I never actually would have thought he would have proposed in front of all those people. But that's home for us. WWE is our home. It's where we met. It's our passion. It's our life."
In the same "Today" appearance, Cena also expressed how he admired his fianceé even more when he saw how she reacted when she was hit with the bridesmaid insults before they got engaged. "Watching her stay strong and keep her head high through all the comments and everything else just proved another reason why I love her so much," Cena said.
After Cena's failed three-year marriage with his high school sweetheart, it has not been a secret that he did not easily consider getting married again even when he started dating Bella. But when asked what changed his mind, Cena said he has found the "absolute right person" in Bella.
"Someone who when I'm down, picks me up. And when she's down, I can pick her up. It took a person that strong to change my view on life," Cena added.
