'John Wick 3' News, Plot Rumors: Reeves and Stahelski Share Their Thoughts on Third Film

"John Wick: Chapter 2" just premiered in cinemas in the United States last Feb. 10 and people are already clamoring and wondering what will happen to the trilogy's third installment. Apparently, it's not just the fans who are excited as John Wick actor Keanu Reeves himself is rearing to go, so much that he has his own ideas painted in his head.

In an exclusive interview with Empire, Reeves animatedly shares his thoughts on the threequel. "I think the opening of the film should be Wick just trying to escape from New York, literally trying to get off the island," Reeves explains. "Maybe he asks the Bowery King (Lawrence Fishburne) for help. Maybe John Leguizamo comes and helps me out," he continues.

As for the director Chad Stahelski, he talks about the plot in numbers rather than in details. "I'd say, if we were so lucky to continue the series, I'd like to expand the world maybe another 25 percent. But then I'd like to go deeper into the world that people already know — another 50 percent," Stahelski points out.

If there is anything that is close to certain, that is that the incoming film will most likely be able to stand alone, similar to how "John Wick: Chapter 2" had. It can be recalled during Stahelski's interview with Collider that he mentioned that the sequel was created in a way that viewers won't have to watch the first one, so there's a huge possibility that may still be the same mindset in the third one.

Despite the fact that "John Wick 3" hasn't been officially slated yet, there is a huge chance that it will definitely be. According to Forbes, the sequel performed extremely well that it could surpass its predecessor in over a week. That being said, audiences can more or less expect an explosive third installment.
