Jon Bon Jovi Daughter Arrested After Heroin Overdose
The 19-year-old daughter of famed rock musician Jon Bon Jovi was reportedly arrested shortly after allegedly suffering from a heroin overdose.
Stephanie Rose Bongiovi was arrested at her upstate New York school Hamilton College, a prominent liberal arts institution in Kirkland, early Wednesday after receiving treatment for her drug overdose.
Police and emergency workers responded to a frantic 911 call that was made before 2 a.m. in which an unidentified caller claimed that Bongiovi had become unresponsive after reportedly overdosing on heroin.

Police searched the dorm room and allegedly discovered a "small quantity" of heroin along with marijuana and drug paraphernalia. She, along with Ian S. Grant, a 21-year-old male student, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana possession and other related drug paraphernalia charges.
In a statement, Hamilton College confirmed that an incident had taken place and that the institution is fully cooperating with authorities during their investigation.
"The college is cooperating with the police investigation. Our first concern is always for the safety of our students. Out of respect for the privacy of our students and in accordance with federal regulations we do not discuss individual health or disciplinary matters," the school said in a statement.
Bongiovi was eventually released from police custody and she was ordered to appear in court at a later date to face a series of misdemeanor charges. She is the only daughter of Jon, 50, and his wife of 23 years Dorothea Hurley. She is also the oldest of the couple's four children.
Jon is yet to speak publicly regarding the overdose incident, although ironically he once admitted to using drugs in his early days.
"I did the drug thing very young and wised up very young too, because I was into drugs a little too much. I've never been a drug guy. I've always felt I didn't have the mental stability to handle drugs," Jon told Best Life magazine in 2007.
