Jon Hamm has been the subject of rumors this week stating that the actor was asked to ensure his clothing was appropriate while filming the sixth season of "Mad Men."
Hamm was reportedly kitted out in his 1960s style costume was had to be politely asked by others working on the set to ensure he kept himself appropriately dressed at all times.
The highly anticipated sixth season of AMC's hit series "Men Men" has been confirmed to air on April 7. The premiere will be a 2-hour event starting at 9 p.m., ET, and starting April 14, the television series will resume its usual 10 p.m. ET airtime.
Not much is known about what season six holds for Don Draper and the rest of the characters on "Mad Men."
Matthew Weiner, who created the series and also serves as producer, remained tight-lipped about season six while speaking to Entertainment Weekly in a recent interview, only promising fans a good show.
"If you like the show, there's a good chance you'll like the premiere," said Weiner. "I is different than last year's in a sense that it was my idea and I was just trying to give a bang for a buck to an audience that I didn't want to lose because we'd been away for so long."
He explained that fans should brush up on season five of "Mad Men," explaining that the entire new season "is in reference to last season."
As for the characters, they are "at the next stage of their lives and I think you really feel that," said the producer.
Also tight-lipped, Hamm, 41, defended the secrecy surrounding the plot of "Mad Men" in a past interview.
"What show wants to ruin their whole narrative structure?" the actor asked members of the press recently. "Who wants to be told the end of things? I think it's a good thing that like most shows we don't tell people what's going to happen."
Critically acclaimed "Mad Men" is well known for its historical authenticity and visual style. The series has earned 15 Emmys and four Golden Globe Awards, among many others, and is the first and only basic cable series to win the Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series, winning it in four of its five seasons.
