Jon Jones vs. Daniel Cormier fight news: 'Bones' continues trash-talking with 'DC'
Jon Jones is continuously fanning the flames of his rivalry with current UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier.
Two weeks ago, the former long-time 205-pound champion was reinstated back to the UFC; following a suspension from a hit-and-run incident he was involved in last April.
Since then, Daniel Cormier went on to beat Anthony "Rumble" Johnson to claim the title that Jones forcefully vacated. However, now that the UFC has lifted his suspension, "Bones" had also begun ripping on the man who is holding the belt he once possessed.
In a report by Yahoo! Sports, Jones began attacking Cormier through a Twitter post.
"Too pussy to fight at the garden but flies all the way to Albuquerque to prove he's a man #Scratchingmyhead you on your way pussy?" Jones wrote.
In another report by Bleacher Report, Cormier actually flew to Jones' new home state in Albuquerque, New Mexico to meet face-to-face. "DC" also tweeted a photo of himself standing outside the Jackson-Winklejohn Academy, where he claims he was refused entry.
"I'm here they won't let me in!" Cormier wrote. "Next time he has to come to the Bay!"
Jones and Cormier had already fought each other at UFC 182 in January, fueled by bad blood and animosity from their back-and-forth trash talk, months prior. In the end, however, it was Jones who won the fight via unanimous decision.
Cormier last fought two-time title contender Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 192 last month, where he won by split decision. In a separate report by MMA Junkie, the 36-year old fighter had just signed a new eight-fight deal with the UFC, but says he is not interested in fighting Jones at a planned event at the Madison Square Garden in April 2016.
Jones, on the other hand, has yet to be given a fight, although a May report claims he will be given an immediate title shot upon return, according to UFC president Dana White himself.
