Jonas Brothers Tour is No More: Band Breaks Up

The much-loved musical family trio The Jonas Brothers have officially broken up.

People Magazine reported the initial recations from the three brothers, Kevin, Nick and Joe. Though the band is breaking up, the brothers have seemed to imply that the split isn't permanent.

"It's over for now," Kevin Jonas said to People.

"It's really hard to say 'forever,'" said Nick, seeming to confirm that the split is not permanent. Though he did go on to say, "We're closing a chapter, for sure."

It was reported that in a meeting on Oct. 3 Nick expressed strong feelings about not being happy in the band.

"I was feeling kind of trapped, I needed to share my heart with my brothers," Nick said of the Oct. 3 meeting.

Though the split may have been perpetuated by Nick's feeling and admission during the meeting, Joe Jonas let People know that the decision to break up was mutual between the brothers.

"It was a unanimous decision," Joe said.

Their split could not have been more unexpected by fans. In early October, the Jonas Brothers were set to begin a 19-city tour, but they ended up cancelling it.

A representative of the band, Jesse Derris, said the cancellation was due to a serious disagreement over music.

"There is a deep rift within the band. There was a big a disagreement over their music direction," Derris said to People magazine.

And Derris alluded to a potential split when People asked what the tour cancellation means for the future of The Jonas Brothers.

"It remains to be seen," Derris said. And now it appears that we do see the future of the band, a break up."
