Julia Roberts Family Most Important; Actress Stays Away From Social Media

Actress Julia Roberts has had a lengthy career and has enjoyed working with some of her idols, including Meryl Streep. But the role Roberts has enjoyed more than any other is that of mother and wife. In a new interview, Roberts revealed that she feels it is a "privilege and honor" to take care of her family and relishes motherhood.

"It's my privilege and honor to cook three meals a day for my family, and it's a luxury on a level that I didn't even realize because it can be relentless for me on some days," Roberts told Marie Claire magazine. "You have pride in how you take care of your family."

Roberts and husband Danny Moder have been married for 11 years and share three children: 8-year-old twins Hazel and Finn, and a younger son, Henry. She and Moder have attempted to shield their children from the spotlight and have a relatively normal family life. However, with her starring role in the fantasy film, "Mirror Mirror," Roberts revealed that her older kids were catching on to her celebrity.

"They're starting to, they're starting to get it," Roberts said at a press junket for the film. "This is the movie that has prompted the most questions. It's fine… Danny and I sit and talk to them and sort it out and it's not a big deal."

Roberts also shies away from the world of social media because she's afraid of being lured into a world she doesn't necessarily want to be a part of.

"It's kind of like cotton candy," she told Marie Claire. "It looks so appealing, and you just can't resist getting in there, and then you just end up with sticky fingers and it lasted an instant. I have too much potential for collapse. There's an anonymity that makes people feel safe to participate in hatefulness. I like a good old-fashioned fistfight if people are pissed off at each other. I just feel like if you're really mad and want to have a fight, then put your dukes up."
