'Jurassic World 2' Plot Spoilers: New Main Character Joining Owen and Claire
It was reported that the main characters in the previously released film "Jurassic World" will have more challenges to face in the sequel.
The writer of "Jurassic World" and producer of "Jurassic World 2," Colin Trevorrow, has revealed some details about characters Claire, played by Bryce Dallas Howard, and Owen, played by Christ Pratt. According to Movie Pilot, Trevorrow explained that the upcoming sequel will see many characters evolve.
He first talked about Claire, who is expected to experience a lot of changes in the upcoming film. He said, "It's her [Clare] story that mirrors this changing world. The two of them opened Pandora's Box in Jurassic World and each of them are responsible for different elements of it in different ways. Owen is going to be in it, Claire is in it and neither is going to be in the same place we left them in the first movie."
However, Claire and Owen will not be the only ones invested in the dinosaurs in the upcoming sequel. It was revealed that Zach, who is Claire's nephew, will also have a chance at spotlight. The character, played by Nick Robinson, was promoted as main character. He is expected to join Claire and Owen in their new adventure. It was said that he will be learning some new skills from Owen as well.
Robinson was able to express his desires for the sequel during an interview with Screen Rant. He said, "I'd like to see them explore more real dinosaurs that have not been introduced to the Jurassic world yet, I know they did the mosasaurus, the big water one, that's a real dinosaur. And maybe they could do the megalodon next time, the big ol' shark."
"Jurassic World 2" is expected to release in theaters on June 22, 2018.
