'Just Cause 3' New Year Update: New Patch 'Later' This Month, DLC Currently in Development

Video game developer Avalanche Studios has announced what's in store for players of "Just Cause 3" this year.

On Wednesday, Jan. 6, a representative of Avalanche published the announcement on "Just Cause 3's" Steam page. The post touched on the game's upcoming DLCs, as well as a new patch.

"Whilst one side of the studio is working on patches, fixes and optimisations for the game, which will continue to roll out over the coming weeks, the other side is busily bringing this additional content to life," the "Just Cause" team said.

The team is referring to the Air, Land and Sea Expansion Pass. The studio previously announced this add-on content last year. And the good news is that the first installment of this DLC, "Sky Fortress," which is the "Air" pack, is nearing completion. The pack will add new mission, features, and more to the game. Sky Fortress is currently being play tested, and the game developer promised to provide more updates about it "very soon."

In addition to the upcoming add-on content, Avalanche Studios also released additional weapons and vehicles on Steam, PSN, and Xbox stores on Wednesday. Those who pre-ordered the game should already have these as they were previously part of the game's pre-order bonus.

The video game developer also used its New Year update to assure the community that it is working at fixing the issues that players have or are experiencing with the game. The next patch, which will bring with it bug fixes, optimizations, performance enhancements, and improvements, is expected to arrive "later in the month."

The team also encouraged players who encounter any crashes or technical issues to contact their Customer Support websites with as much detail as they can provide, including time and date of crash, DxDiag, setup specification, and more.
