'Justice League' Movie Finally, Cast to Feature Matt Damon and Ben Affleck
The long-rumored Justice League movie was finally confirmed for release in a recent report and news is already circulating about the film's cast.
The Wrap.com stated that Matt Damon could take the role of Aquaman.
"One casting rumor that has been circulating around Hollywood for more than a year is that Affeck's close friend and collaborator Matt Damon is being sought to play Aquaman," they reported.
The publication also stated that Jason Momoa is being eyed for the role.
Another report from Variety revealed that actor Ray Fisher was chosen for the role of Victor Stone/Cyborg for the Batman vs. Superman movie. This means he will also most likely appear in the Justice League film.
Gal Godot has already been casted as Wonder Woman for the Man of Steel sequel which means that she will definitely be a part of the ensemble cast in Justice League.
Zack Snyder will direct the superhero team-up which will almost play out as a third installment in the Man of Steel series. Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill will probably reprise their roles as Batman and Superman in the third movie.
Other rumored characters to appear in Justice League include Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, the Flash and Green Arrow.
It seems that each studio with a comic book property is attempting to create a universe within itself with these characters in the same way that Marvel and Disney did with "The Avengers."
Sony will use Spider-Man as the source material for a slew of movies including the Sinister Six, Venom and the direct sequels to "The Amazing Spider-Man" saga. Fox will release "X-Men: Days of Future Past" later this summer and will follow with a similar film based on the character Apocalypse.
