'Justice League' News, Release Date: New Teaser Trailer Shows Remarkable CGI Improvements
A new teaser for the final "Justice League" trailer was released by Warner Bros. over the weekend, featuring significant improvements when it comes to the computer-generated imagery (CGI).
If there is one character who seems to have benefitted the most from the CGI improvements, it would be Cyborg, whose armor is now more dazzling than ever. In the clip, the character's armor now features a striking silver sheen — something that wasn't shown in any of the previous footage for the film.
The scene in which Flash is running has also received upgrades, particularly in terms of the lighting effects. Aquaman's tidal waves look a lot better now, as well, but none of all these improvements could match the remarkable differences made on Steppenwolf's destruction. This part of the trailer is most noticeable because of the crimson sky and cityscape, which both received a round of CGI tweaking from the editors.
Unlike in the previous trailers where the effects of Steppenwolf's attacks didn't look visually remarkable on screen, the recent tweaks on the color of the sky and the landscape make them look stunning. Apparently, the color of the sky was changed into crimson, and the fight scenes between and among the heroes now look more oppressive because of the changes in hue.
Content-wise, the new clip does not reveal much, except that it offers a more visually appealing depiction of some of the most intense scenes that fans have yet to witness in the upcoming film. Towards the end of the clip, the Batmobile arrives as two Paredemons try to hold onto its back. However, the caped crusader tilts the vehicle on two tires, shaking them off.
"Justice League" arrives on Nov. 17.
