'Justice League: Part 1" Movie News: Ezra Miller Bulks Up For Role as The Flash

The current blockbuster "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" has introduced additional cast members of the upcoming "Justice League: Part 1" movie via the cameo roles that they play. Among those introduced, though, one actor caught the fancy of many Justice League and DC fans, Ezra Miller, thanks to his more buffed superhero-like body that he displayed when he attended the movie's premiere in New York last week.

While "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" does not really show the superhero-body form of Ezra as the Flash, his newly-developed bulges placed at the right places are apparent at the premiere of the movie. This only proves his commitment to the role that will surely accelerate the movement of his acting career towards higher heights.

Miller is known to movie fans for his "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" role as Patrick. While it is true that the queer actor is also a singer, musician, and a model, he is yet to establish a big name in Hollywood, and the "Justice League: Part 1" can just be the right vehicle for him to be propelled to bigger stardom.

Apart from being a part of "Justice League: Part 1," Miller is also set to top-bill the standalone film feature of the Flash on the big screen, which is slated for a March 2018 release.

However, not everybody is happy with Miller's being cast as the Scarlet Speedster. With the popularity of Grant Gustin's TV version of the Flash, many can't help asking why Zack Snyder picked Miller. This prompted the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" director, who will also helm "Justice League: Part 1" to explain his side, saying that Gustin's "The Flash" is not fit for the universe of "Justice League.

DC is pushing its "multiverse" concept composed of several worlds with alternate reality. Unfortunately, Gustin's version of the Flash belongs to another world that does not make sense if applied in the storyline of "Justice League: Part 1."

"Even if Grant Gustin is my favorite guy in the world and he's very good, we made a commitment to the multiverse (idea)," said Snyder.

Despite the inevitable comparison between his Flash and that of Gustin's, Miller assured that things are well between him and TV's Flash.

"…I think it's awesome! And come on, we're The Flash! It's parallel universes. Grant Gustin is The Flash, and I'm The Flash. Don't you see? It's the Event Horizon! We crossed it, baby. Grant and I are chillin'. We're going to have a race — it's going to be dope," he said in a prior interview.
