'Justice League' Release Date, Plot Rumors: Film to Allegedly Feature Post-Credit Scenes

It will not be long before "Justice League" finally hits movie screens, and a new rumor suggests that it is going to have two post-credit scenes. This was first spilled by "The Wrap's" Umberto Gonzalez in a recent "Periscope" session, but Warner Bros. and DC have yet to confirm the report.

Previously, Warner Bros. did not include post-credit scenes in their films, allegedly to further distinguish the DC Extended Universe from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, the studio was not able to stick to this when 2016's "Suicide Squad" featured a mid-credits scene while "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" included a bonus scene, both typical of an MCU movie.

The mid-credits scene for "Suicide Squad" featured Bruce Wayne looking for team members to prepare for the upcoming "Justice League" film, while the bonus scene from "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" teased Lex Luthor's discovery of Steppenwolf and the Mother Boxes. Although this year's "Wonder Woman" did not include a post-credits scene, the fact that Warner Bros. featured one in its previous movies makes a "Justice League" post-credit scene not far from possible.

Since Gonzalez's report about a "Justice League" post-credits scene emerged, there have been speculations that the upcoming DC film would make use of the said scene to offer a first look at the trailer for "Aquaman" or to tease the future of any of the members of the Justice League, like Batman or Cyborg. Some fans also speculated that Warner Bros. might utilize the post-credits scene to give hints on the "Wonder Woman" sequel or "Flashpoint," which are two of the most talked-about DC films in the pipeline. At any rate, Warner Bros. has yet to confirm Gonzalez's report so fans should take this rumor with a grain of salt.

"Justice League" is set to hit theaters on Nov. 17.
