'Justice League': Steppenwolf to Make an Appearance?

Warner Brothers has just put out the official trailer for "Justice League," and already, fans have been poring over the trailer to get a glimpse of what Zack Snyder has in store. "Justice League" will be coming out to cinemas in November this year.

The much-awaited "Justice League" trailer is packed with details that could provide a clue on what the team of superheroes will be facing when the movie premieres later this year. According to Screen Rant, the split-second scenes of the various enemies that the Justice League faces in the trailer hints at what could be their Apokoliptian origin.

DC fans may be familiar with how the Parademons that appear in the recently released trailer could fit in the overall conflict that the Justice League heroes will be facing. One possibility is that Steppenwolf will be the first major antagonist to set his Parademon armies against the combined forces of the Justice League Heroes.

Steppenwolf is a high-ranking villain that reports directly to none other than Darkseid himself, and is said to be the first to meet the Justice League, along with the invasion force that the Batman has been preparing the league for. It is possible that Aquaman will be the first to meet Steppenwolf in the movie.

What could be Steppenwolf's possible motivations for invading the Earth? A good explanation for his planned incursion into the planet is to obtain the Apokoliptian Mother Box of Atlantis. A brief glimpse of Mera (Amber Heard) shows the location for the Mother Box, and later, Aquaman is shown dodging a flaming axe before the same podium. The same axe looks very much like the fiery axe that is the trademark weapon of Steppenwolf.
