Justin Bieber Baby Mama Latest: Star Will Take DNA Test Then Sue Accuser
Justin Bieber has agreed to take a DNA test in order to prove that he is not the father of Mariah Yeater’s son, and then he and his legal team will take aim at the 20-year-old woman.
TMZ broke the report Sunday that a direct Bieber source contacted them with the information.
The source close to Bieber said that the star and his legal team think it is important to file a lawsuit against Yeater for justice as well as protection against false, harmful allegations against celebrities.
Yeater claimed that on Oct. 25, 2010 Bieber propositioned her after a concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif.
TMZ also reported that Yeater’s lawyers appeared “nervous” when they heard Bieber’s legal team’s decision to sue.
Bieber is currently in Belfast, Ireland for MTV’s European Music Awards, and will submit to the paternity test upon his return to the U.S. in two weeks.
The paternity allegations Bieber faces have not affected his relationship with girlfriend Selena Gomez, as the pair was spotted together ahead of MTV’s awards show on Saturday.
Bieber’s legal team has vehemently denied any involvement Bieber had with Yeater, the mother of a 3-month-old baby boy.
“While we haven’t yet seen the lawsuit, it’s sad that someone would fabricate, malicious, defamatory AND demonstrably false claims,” said Bieber’s representative speaking to US Weekly earlier this week.
Adding, “We will vigorously pursue all available legal remedies to defend and protect Justin against these allegations.”
The rumor surfaced as Bieber continues to promote his new Christmas album, Under the Mistletoe, which was released last week. An open Christian, the singer has spoken out against casual sex and remains active in charitable works, reminding fans to “judge me on the music.”
