Justin Bieber Defends Himself Against Robbery Rumors
Justin Bieber is defending himself against claims of cell phone theft.
While TMZ initially reported that a woman accused Bieber of taking her cell phone when she refused to delete pictures of him that she took at a Sherman Oaks, Calif. batting cages Monday, the publication is now re-telling its story.
An employee at the batting cage establishment told TMZ that Bieber did not take the woman's phone.
"The employee says the woman was definitely the instigator, being overly aggressive and ignoring security's requests to stop snapping pics," says the TMZ report, which Bieber posted to his Twitter page. "She says Bieber was upset, but never got physical with the woman in any way ... and definitely didn't try to grab her phone."
Bieber, the 20-year-old Christian singer from Canada, took to Twitter to speak about the claims.
"It is hard to defend myself and my privacy every moment of the day. Then to see rumors," he wrote. "The truth will set u free."
Bieber went on to speak about the fact that it is not easy being scrutinized in the public eye.
"My mom raised me to be kind to others. I get judged, harassed, and I try to take the high road," he wrote. "Sometimes it isn't easy. But we keep trying."
Still, the pop star chose to showcase love for his fans on Twitter.
"Thanks for those who stick by me and those that help me grow everyday," Bieber tweeted." I love you."
Bieber seemed to take everything in stride, but admitted his feelings in front of millions of fans.
"Off to have fun and smile with friends. I'm human. I feel. I hurt," he tweeted. "But I got thick skin too. I can handle it. I love you."
