Justin Bieber Hit and Run: Police Clear Singer of Accident
Los Angeles police have cleared Justin Bieber in a hit and run incident that took place Monday night after a member of the paparazzi charged that Bieber had pinned him between two cars.
Justin Bieber was accused of hitting a member of the paparazzi in his white Ferrari as he exited a club on Sunset Boulevard Monday night. The incident took place some time around 11:45 pm, according to reports. Bieber was pulling out of the Laughing Factory when he allegedly pinned a photographer between his car and a parked car behind him.
Other photographers were on site according to TMZ, and witnessed the incident take place. Bieber was also driving with Lil Twist as his passenger. The photographer who was hit was taken to the hospital where he was examined for injury. It was unclear at the time of the report whether the paparazzi member had suffered any injury at all.
On Tuesday morning, it was confirmed that L.A. police had cleared Bieber of the charges. The photographer, who was standing in the middle of the roadway, was held at fault. Bieber also claimed that he was completely unaware that he had struck someone with his car before pulling away, TMZ reported.
Meanwhile, after losing his pet monkey to German authorities in March, Bieber has been keeping himself busy with a new pet instead. At the end of May the singer adopted a Persian kitten named Tuts. The kitten, who resembles "Grumpy Cat," has since risen to Internet fame. Just after becoming Bieber's pet, the cat acquired a Twitter account and in less than a month, has collected over 1,300 followers. The cat has also posted multiple pictures insisting that he has "swag."
Other "friends" of the star are less popular however. Kevin Penderson, who once claimed to be Bieber's best friend, filed a restraining order against the singer on June 14th after charging that the singer released Penderson's number to a mob of angry Bieber fans.
