Justin Bieber Smoking Weed? Suspicious Photos Prompt Cryptic Tweets (PHOTO)
Justin Bieber was recently photographed holding a suspicious looking cigarette during a night in with friends in California, and the singer has since taken to his Twitter page vowing to be a better person.
The 19-year-old pop star was captured smoking at a Newport Beach hotel on Jan. 2, reportedly with rapper Lil Twist and an unidentified woman. Sources claim that both Bieber and Lil Twist, real name Christopher Moore, were smoking marijuana, according to TMZ.
While Bieber's rep had no comment about the matter, the singer posted a cryptic tweet on Saturday morning which appeared to address the marijuana speculation.
"Everyday growing and learning. trying to be better. u get knocked down, u get up," Bieber tweeted Jan. 5.
Other cryptic tweets read "i see all of u. i hear all of u...i never want to let any of you down. i love u. and..thank u...like i said...2013...new challenges. new doubters...Im ready."
The smoking scandal comes less than one week after Bieber allegedly split up with his girlfriend of three-years Selena Gomez again and just one day after a paparazzi photographer was killed while trailing the pop icon.
Bieber and Gomez had reportedly traveled to Mexico together to ring in the new year, but a fight allegedly broke out on Dec. 30, forcing them to go their separate ways, according to The New York Daily News.
"They keep breaking up and getting back together," an insider told The Daily News. "It's an on-again, off-again relationship. It's probably not correct to characterize this as a final breakup."
On New years day Bieber, who was reportedly accompanied by Moore, was left shaken after Chris Guerra, a 29-year-old freelancer photographer, was struck by a car while attempting to capture photos of Bieber's Ferrari.
"Hopefully this tragedy will finally inspire meaningful legislation and whatever other necessary steps to protect the lives and safety of celebrities, police officers, innocent public bystanders, and the photographers themselves," a devastated Bieber said in a public statement.
