Justin Bieber Speaks Out Against 'Baby Mama' Claims

Justin Bieber has spoken out for the first time since a fan claimed to have had his baby. Mariah Yeater filed a claim alleging that Bieber is the father of her four-month-old son. She wants Bieber to take a paternity test and pay $260,000 a month in child support.

Bieber told the Today Show’s host Matt Lauer, “I would just like to say basically that none of those allegations are true. I know that I'm going to be a target but I'm never going to be a victim.”

He went on to say: “I think it's crazy because every night after the show I'm gone, right from the stage to my car so it's crazy that some people want to make up such false allegations but to set the record straight, none of it is true.”

Bieber told Lauer that he had “never met the woman.”

After his appearance on the show, Bieber tweeted: “Thanks for letting me set the record straight. what is real are my fans...this album...and this charity work. see u guys the 23rd.”

Yeater claimed that the two had sex backstage after a concert in L.A. in October last year. However, at the time of the alleged tryst, Yeater had just turned 19-years-old and Bieber was still a 16-year-old minor.

If her allegations prove true then Yeater could face investigations for “statutory rape” because the singer was underage at the time.

According to the law, any person “who engages in an act of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor who is not more than three years older or three years younger than the perpetrator, is guilty of a misdemeanor.”

Yeater has been receiving death threats from Bieber’s fans since her allegations emerged.
