Justin Bieber Spitting: Accused of Lunging at Neighbor in Battery Case (VIDEO)
Justin Bieber has been accused of spitting and attempting to hit a neighbor who accused him of reckless driving.
Initial reports stated that Bieber didn't have any physical confrontation with the neighbor. New witnesses have since come forward and accused the pop star of spitting at his accuser. The neighbor had accused Bieber of driving his Ferrari at 100 mph within a gated community.
"Get the f--- out of here," Bieber is accused of saying before adding, "I'm gonna f------ kill you." The neighbor who was confronted has filed a battery report. At least one landscaper working across the street from where the incident took place confirmed that Bieber spit in the neighbor's face.
After being confronted, Bieber was escorted to his van and the door was shut. But Bieber apparently opened the door again and lunged himself at the neighbor. The singer's bodyguards were forced to restrain the singer, according to TMZ.
The L.A. County D.A.'s Office is reviewing the case against the singer. Law enforcement officials reported to TMZ that the case would be taken "seriously" and Bieber could face prosecution.
This is not the first time that Bieber's temper has gotten him in trouble. In January, Moshe Benabou, a bodyguard for Bieber, filed a suit against his former employer for assault, battery, and overtime fees. Benabou is seeking $421,261 in damages, the Huffington Post reported.
One of the first accounts of battery was filed by a photographer who claimed that Bieber hit him and destroyed his camera when approached. The District Attorney declined to file any charges due to a lack of evidence. So far Bieber has avoided the courtroom.
In the most recent accusations, Bieber's sources have thus far denied that the singer made any physical contact, according to TMZ.
