Justin Bieber Talks Rumors: 'You Just Gotta Laugh,' Says Singer
Justin Bieber is laughing at the rumors surrounding himself.
Bieber, the 19-year-old Canadian singer, was accused of assaulting a limousine driver in Toronto, arrested for a DUI and questionable driving in Miami, accused of egging his neighbor's home and pictured performing questionable acts with strippers recently. Aside from his legal woes, Bieber has been linked to numerous women and accused of lewd acts like urinating in a prison cell.
While new rumors seem to surround Bieber each day, the singer seems to be taking it all in stride.
"Some of the rumors out there...you just gotta laugh," Bieber tweeted recently. "People are creative. It's all love."
Last year, he appeared on Ryan Seacrest's radio show to speak about the scrutiny that he has been under. The singer believes he is being bullied by the media.
"I'm becoming a man, but I'm still 19, I'm still finding myself and when I have the media attacking me every day it's no [different] than bullying that happens in school, these people calling me names and saying things, and they don't know what's true or not," Bieber told Seacrest. "People forget I'm a human being."
Although Bieber has previously defended some of his actions in the media, he also complained about publications using him to make money.
"When people see a negative thing about me on a magazine, they're gonna buy it. Every time some site writes something bad, all my followers go on there, and it brings them more traffic," he told The Hollywood Reporter last year. "Now they have all the Beliebers on their site, which gives them money from advertisers. They're just worried about money. They don't care about ruining someone's name."
Scooter Braun, Bieber's manager, sat down with Billboard magazine last year to reveal that Bieber was going through a time where he did not trust anyone.
"That's a tough place to be, especially as a 19-year-old," Braun previously told Billboard. "He hasn't had the easiest run, and at times he knows that he hasn't made it easy on himself."
